One Department One Book: Du Bois & Intersectionality

Wednesday, March 15
2 – 3:30pm @ BSB 4105
W.E.B. Du Bois & Intersectionality

Join us for our third discussion in our One Department One Book series of The Scholar Denied. Aldon Morris makes the claim that Du Bois “was the first sociologist engaged in intersectional analysis.” In this reading group, we will draw on insights from black feminist scholarship and Du Bois’ own research to discuss and evaluate this claim.

We are also looking for guest blog posts for our events! Whether you are an undergraduate student who is new to sociology or a professor in the department, we would love for you to share a few thoughts about the event in a blog post!
